That's right! My new mission will have Artificial Artificial Intelligence.
This new level, VM4, will be a mission like "Special Forces" on starcraft. You start with an Andy. Just an Andy. You have a small base at the lower 1/8th of the map, and the rest is the OMNI base. The OMNI troops will come in waves, and you have a few opportunities to charge through and storm their base.

Now here's the AAI part. When you destroy a building, it comes back. And it doesn't just come back in chunks... it comes back slowly, coming down the map. And it actually strategizes and fight back by uses weaknesses.

So here's why I'm posting... do you think this'll be good, or just a waste of time?

PS. This is AAI instead of AI because it's made by the level's triggers, not by the game itself.

I was referring to the special forces thingy... i thought you weren't doing anything like that. Its ok, ill shelf that project for now

Good news people! The first beta of the AI is complete. If you want it, email me!

I'm trying to make it wait a few seconds between buildings, but it's messing up somehow. I'll figure it out. Anyway, soon there will be strategizing and counterattacks (PhilipEarl suggested it Very Happy )

I'm leaving and I'll be gone through monday morning on a camping vacation. Yay! camping! wahhooooo!

Good news people! AAI is still being worked on, and it is officially 50% done. That means that buildings actually rebuild on their own, take a look!

There is one bug that I know of, and I've PMed scottlu on it. While the rebuilding process is in action and you exit the game and reopen it, it won't start up again. I think a persistent variable might be corrupted or something. Hopefully, they'll work on it.

This is only 50% done because I still need to make the unit-counterattacks. I'm going to ask PhilipEarl to help me on this... He seems experienced in the matter Very Happy
