When a player lags, the question is, after 30 seconds, asked to the other players whether or not to kick the lagging player. How about improving that to a vote system? When a player lags for more than 30 seconds, a vote is taken and the majority wins.
EG:
FFA map with three players. Player1 lags. After 30 seconds a 10 second vote is held. Player2 and Player3 have ten seconds to vote yes/no. The server will auto vote no for the lagger since most laggers probably don't want to be kicked. After 10 seconds is the majority is yes, player1 is kicked, if the majority is no, player1 stays in and another vote is held in 10 seconds. If the vote is a tie (it cannot be in this unless one player does not vote) the server gets to vote, it will vote randomly and it's answer will be added to the other votes to break the tie.
This system would work nice with 2vs2. If your partner lags and both players on the other team press yes and you press no, even though its first come first serve, since theres 2 of them and 1 of you chances are they will press yes before you can press no this disconnecting your partner. With the voting system described above, there would be a better chance your partner wouldn't get kicked and hopefully come out of the lag. _________________ Warfare Incorporated Development |
