Can't believe no one has asked this yet! (Perhaps few Android users know about this wonderful game.) I was a long-time Palm user and recently switched to Droid, leaving my WI experience behind. Are there any plans to support the Android OS?

tonyle, I'm not sure yet. I'm hoping to see the market develop a little more. With all the recent Android activity in the marketplace, it looks like it is heating up.

I'm getting an android smartphone in the next few days, the new phones coming out running android are pretty slick, so I seriously recommend considering an android version.

if not for the fact that being cross-platform is nice, but also for the fact that there's an android app store as well, and you'd be the first game of this type on the market (dont quote me on that)

I used to use to play this game all the time on my Dell Axim X50v and it was great. I would really like to start playing it on my new Google Nexus One. There is a game on the market called "Robo Defense" that is pretty fun but it doesn't compare to Warfare Inc. If you want, I can start developing the Android version for you. Just give me a call and I will get started on it.

I have to add another voice for an Android version, especially with the new JIT compiler added to version 2.2 it should run very well.

I used to play WI years ago when I had my Sony NX80 and I was completely hooked. Time moved on and so did I to other devices and I have never found anything as addicting. I will be your first purchaser if you release an Android version, no questions asked.

Good to see this community and game is still thriving.

Yeah same here , Galm. It'll be like inter-competition within the same service, and the iPhone is so well know that it will probably beat the Droid. I hope Apple does sign with Verizon though.

lol Quite hilarious. First off open your eyes to the other markets in the world, not just the US. The fact that the iPhone is only on AT&T in the US has no bearing on the rest of us.

Secondly the Android market presently supports over 60 hardware devices across a dozen manufacturers, all of which are releasing new devices continuously. It's really pretty much a given that market share is going to slide to the widest device support, especially since Google is pushing new versions of the OS out at several increments a year. On top of that in the next quarter there will be almost 2 dozen 'tablet' style devices launched on the Android platform in direct response to the popularity of the iPad.

Last quarter Android devices grew their market share by 23%. iPhone grew it's market share by 7% in the same time frame.

I don't deny that the iPhone / iPad invigorated the mobile world, but Apple is quickly getting swamped by an open market. It's just sheer numbers, one manufacturer with one platform can't stay ahead of an open market being heavily influxed by hundreds of hardware and software makers.

First off I am aware it's just the US but since I'm here i don't care about other policies and a huge portion of the market is here. Also for market growth those numbers are ignorant, droid is new so new grows look at apple in it's early stages, it exploded. Android grows cause it's still emerging.
