Hi Jen, that is surprising that it is crashing. I suggest first freeing up more memory and trying again. If the problem still persists, please post here again. Thanks. _________________ Warfare Incorporated Development Team |

Fatal Alert on T665C at end of level 9 Limited Partnership.
I had captured the Rebel base and fought OMNI, capturing their HQ (and other buildings) and destroying all resistance. Basically, I was waiting for the end of mission screen when instead I got the Fatal Alert. Needless to say I'll have to start the mission again. Uggg... |

Well....
I restarted level 9 and about 15 minutes into the game I got another Fatal Alert. No reference or error code as to why, just Fatal Exception. |

OK... third time.
End of level 9 and "Fatal Alert, Fatal Exception".
HELP!!!!
UPDATE: Fatal Alert again when a scheduled alarm went off. Good news, I was able to complete the mission without fatal errors though sound and game play were choppy.

Hi Development Team,
I free up some memory and now it reaches 1M, but the problem persists. I'm using a Sony N70 without any system modifications (like those overclocking). :_( I miss playing the game so much.

Bob, please try removing MQGX.prc from your device. You can delete it from the app launcher. We are having some problems with MQGX.prc and I'd like to see if this solves the problems you are having. Thanks. _________________ Warfare Incorporated Development Team |

Jen, can you tell me if you have a NR70 or a NX70? I don't have any suggestions yet. _________________ Warfare Incorporated Development Team |

I'm not even granted the luxury of "Fatal Alert" messages. My handheld just freezes. Luckily, I've had no in-game crashes yet. My problem is only when trying to start certain levels. _________________ Give a person a fish, and they'll eat for a day. Teach a person to use the Internet, and they'll leave you alone for weeks. |

BobT, I am aware of the alarm issue. In the cases where you encounter this problem, is an alarm trying to go off?
mrpinkeye, I have a reply to you in a different thread. _________________ Warfare Incorporated Development Team |

Hi Development Team,
I just found out that my model is Clie N710C/G, instead of N70. Thanks for trying to figure out where went wrong for me.

Hi Warfare Development Team,
Just wondering if you'd come up with any solution. The "Fatal Exception" persists even after I free up more memory. Thanks.

Jen,
It actually had something to do with the audio (according to my correspondance with Scott) and I'm trying out the patch he sent me for my T665C. I suggest checking 'mute' in the sound option for now and see if it persists. So far the patch is working fine. I'm getting no fatal errors and mission lockups at startup or at the end of cut scenes.
However, I'm still testing it out. Actually going to play the whole story missions (and challenge missions) just to make sure.
To date:
1) you can't hear Audio Player in BG (since WI makes its audio primary)
2) sounds are somewhat muted when battles take place and resume back to normal afterwards.
3) so far, no slow downs yet
I'm just starting M5: Personal Goals at the time of this posting and setting everything to easy to see how far I can push the game. See if I can cause any slowdown or other mishaps while playing.
Scott I'll email you in sometime regarding my tests with the patch as I continue to make progress.
Thanks. |

Hi Grandizer,
I turned off the sound of my Clie before starting Warfare, but I still have "Fatal Exception." Is there a way I can keep my current progress in the game even if I uninstall and reinstall the game?
Thanks again.

Sorry, the audio problem is with the T665C. For some reason I thought you were working with a T665C.
Hmm... that's kind of odd. My brother has an N760C (North American version of the N710C/G with OS v4.1) and I have not encountered any fatal errors whatsoever when playing all the missions. Although I have noticed that it will slow down or stall if there are way too many things on the screen.
You can save your progress by doing the following things before uninstalling and reinstalling the game.
1) locate the game save files using a file manager (like ZLauncher, Filez, etc).
2) move the game save files into the MS. You can put it in the Palm/Launcher directory if you want (or any other directory, provided you remember where you stick it).
3) uninstall and reinstall the game.
4) move the game save files back into RAM from the MS.
Finally, you're ready to play where you left off.
Hope that helps. |
