Description:

My first Tower Defense, and also the first one in Warfare that supports mazing. Mazing means building you towers in rows so the enemies have to go through a narrow path between the towers, while they are constantly being hit by them. However, it's also possible to block, so if anyone knows a way to prevent that, post it plz.

History:

I'm a total Warcraft 3 freak, and I especially love Tower Defenses (and I'm not the guy behing goblin_merchant). I've played goblin_merchant's TD and Verdagon's VM2: Tower Defense but goblin's crashed my palm (err... my Sony Clie PEG-NR70V I mean) and Verdagon's was too short. Yes, I agree this one is short too, but is has got a BIG final wave attack. I made this TD because I like mazing in Warcraft TD's, and I wanted it to be possible in Warfare, too. And yes, it is possible to block the way, but it's kinda impossible to prevent that, so if you want to ruin your gaming experience, you can do it.

Changes:

Beta 3: Balanced the waiting times (5 mins at starting was too long, 1 min between rounds was too short)
Beta 2-SE: More money balances, spend ur money good cuz you only have the starting money and 2 bonuses later.
Beta 2: Balanced the money you get so the td is a bit harder.
Beta 1: First Beta, contains a lot of bugs. If you still are using this version, I recommend downloading the newest one.

Coming up in next beta (4):

-Preventing blocking

Its a little too easy. I couldn't finish it because after the third wave, a security guard and dominion were having seizures in the galaxite field. Is the third wave the last one? If so, its too easy. Try making everybody with 10x the health. That should work.

Hmmm... Ok, so its too easy. Well, as far as I know it's impossible to give enemies more health =(. And about the security guard and the dominion, that should be fixed in the new uploaded version. If not plz post it. But its still too easy then. How about:

Spawning from different sides?
Let the money trigger give you less money?
Only make gatling towers available while enemies still have bullpups and other armored stuff?

Does one of those sound nice? I hope so =). BTW I'm working on my second tower defense, which has the option to use units as towers. I'll post it when its ready.

Edit: I just found out how to give units more health and stuff, exspect beta 2 tomorrow!!!

Yeah, the Unit Group % thingie. The only problem is that when you see the health bars, its all messed, but thats just a visual thing.

Well, I don't have to spawn them with 1000% health, I can also modify their starting health, that would give less mess around the bars, I think =).

Beta 2 coming after school (11 hours to go guys).

Edit: Working on it right now, and I'm having sum trouble. Modifying the starting health doesnt take care of the unit groups, and giving the unit groups more than 100% health crashes my clie...

Really? It has no problems with me.....

TDs are hard because you can't balance the difficulty very easily.

I think I can help you with the blocking. Put areas between the cliffs one unit wide. At all times, check if their are x number of towers there, where x is the max number of towers in that little line of units. If so, end mission. Do that for all the spots, that might work. But it'll take lots of time. And tell the user that you can't block.

I'll try the Beta 3 now.

I thought there was a maximum amount of areas, 36 or sumthing? Well, I'm also experimenting with making a VERY long way around the course, so the pathing will take that way if there is a blockage, but the pathing seems to be too dumb to see that way. Hrrrmmm... Well, I'm free from school next week, and I'm going to make maps for Warcraft III itself. Don't worry, I'll still keep looking if there are comments on my map, but I won't spend much time on it. BTW I just think what would be wrong with the region method, if sum1 builds towers on the whole row except 1 passage on the left, and does the same thing the row under it but with the passage on the right, its still impossible to pass =(

OH! Yeah, you're right, it is impossible to stop blocking. Or you could set a timer? After like 60 seconds or something start attacking things.

I found a way to block the flow. Shall I spoil it for everyone?

also, after i blocked the flow, a bunch of vehicles piled up on top of eachother, and they wouldn't move. they would just shake. has this happened to anyone else?
