READ HERE:
ok i always have mail from here for topics. i usually just unwatch from the email but if there was a way to choose the topics that you can turn off then that would be very useful.

Every time you post, you have an option to "Notify when a reply is posted". Whether or not its highlighted by default is controlled by an option in your profile, "Always notify me of replies".
