Like in Age of Empires, it would be great to have a little map generater that places a custom numer of bases in a certain-sized map with custom-amounts of galaxite and custom-alliances. I love customizing every aspect of the game, and when you get all your customization on a map that is never the same twice... cool! |

What, you're saying you want to specify a deathmatch game, have WI generate a random map, complete with terrain, where you specify how much galaxite, how many bases, and who fights who?
Given the limited ammount of processor power on a handheld device and the nature of map building in the mission editor, I just don't think it's possible. |

Don't you ever notice in Age Of Empires you really cant have anything running in the background to play with it? It sucks im using a Dell Axim x5 with a 400 mhz and 64 mb of ram and i still have to close everything in the background or else i dont get to play. If we were to keep adding little things like this we would end up having a slow game. I just dont think its such a great idea for this and we can just use custom levels in and we could do almost the same thing... I agree with Phillip |

I can run AOE on my Ipaq 2215 with still other programs running. I'm sure that a smaller game like WI can do the same. AOE takes about 20 MB to download, and as far as I know this only took 5. |

UGMC i think it's a great idea. But seeing how improbable it is, it might not be wise to even try. Wouldn't we rather have the programmers work on something better, like air units?
Not that we can control them, but still it's really improbable. _________________ [WI Moderator]

No, Verdagon, I think this would be almost a prime feature. When I first bought this game, I expected there to be some random deathmatch games. Well, at least there is a level editor out! |

Well let's agree to disagree.
Here's an alternative though. How about there are ten or so different deathmatch maps, and one is chosen at random, and places are chosen at random?
And yes, I'm glad that there's a level editor too! _________________ [WI Moderator]

That would be better... as long as the computer had AI to actually build buildings and towers to form their own base and could also start from just a dominion. |

I was reading some forum just a second ago... do "Skirmishes" mean the same thing as deathmatches like the ones I talked about? |

Yeah, they're the same. Maybe we should have a melee mode, where it's a free for all with computers. Like a free for all between two computers and two humans.
YEAH! I SHOULD MAKE MY AI LEVEL LIKE THAT!!!
...another item on the checklist then... _________________ [WI Moderator]

You mean like a multiplayer level where two teams work together to destroy the enemy computer's bases? I've tried that before, but I had to many problems with determining who was human/computer (like in the human-computer multiplaye forum I posted no one responded to). But I'm sure you'll have better luck! |

Not really... Just one computer versus one computer versus one human versus one human. The computers will have AI. _________________ [WI Moderator]

Well, IF the computers had great AI, that would work. Whenever I start them out with a whole bunch of units, they automatically switch to human for some reasonl |
