As far as I'm concerned, Verdagon's the only one who knows how to "set next mission." I played a crapload of levels on vacation, and most campaigns either don't work or don't have it at all. So, how do you get it to work?

Nevermind, I looked back at some old threads (who would have thought to look there?) and found to use .lvl instead of .pdb or whatever. One question, though, what happens when there are spaces in the level name?

Spaces are characters like anything else, they should work fine. (Or at least they did for me Smile )

Just remember that the mission name you use for "Set Next Mission" is the first 22 characters of the name of the mission you are linking to, followed by .lvl. If the name of the next mission is less than 22 characters long, you use the full name of the mission followed by .lvl.

I didn't know that. I always that that if your mission's name was more than 22 characters then it would blow up or something.

So, it would be like:

Set next mission: Mission1.lvl
?

If the title you have set in the LevelDoc settings for the next mission is "Mission1", then that would be right.

The LevelDoc settings are what you get in the properties part of M (on the right side) when you chose "Level" from the "Settings" menu. There is a full description of how to link missions in the FAQ.

So, you don't use the .pdb file, you use the level's name followed by .lvl?

Yes, you use the name or title of the mission. A .pdb file (mission pack) can contain multiple missions, and you can point to any mission within any .pdb by setting next level to mission_title.lvl.

Where does the set next mission action go? Before or after the end mission action?

Before. I think end mission is supposed to be the last thing that happens in a mission.
