As well as "tap to move to a location", why not add to that, "drag to this location" so the army will go the way you intended. (instead of going into enemy terriory and get themselves killed!)

That is an awesome idea, I would not mind that at all, or you could just have it add on to my rally point idea with this same concept.

No, dragging would be a problem, as the screen is so small. There would be too much scrolling, as you will have to look where you drag.
I know what you mean though, and I think waypoints would be great. |

I think the dragline between points would be great. and to get rid of that scrolling problem your talking about you should be able to drag on the mini map. that would help out alot. some units seem to just enjoy walking to there deaths even when you told them to go the other way.
