I think that instead of text chat in a live game there should be voice chat... Private voice chat to teamates or specific players if you want. Also a feature to mute a chat if you want to.

There is No AI as such but by using triggers, actions and unit groups you can make a challenging enemy anyway. Also you can set enemy units to hunt your units or guard, etc. Setting aggresiveness will ...
